Fraudulent SMS Alert Dear Members, We’ve been made aware of a fraudulent SMS currently circulating nationwide. The message appears to come from “51472” and reads: CREDIT UNION: A new Payee (JAMIE SMITH) has been added to your account. Contact us immediately on 01 513 4884 if this wasn’t you. When the recipient calls the number provided (01 513 4884), the call is answered with “Welcome to Credit Union Services.” The caller is then persuaded to provide their account credentials and personal details to the fraudster. ⚠️ This is a scam. If you call the number, you’ll reach fraudsters pretending to be Credit Union staff who will try to get your personal and account details. 👉 Please remember: Your Credit Union will never ask for account details, passwords, or PINs by phone or text. These SEPA Instant Credit Transfers are processed within 10 seconds, even on weekends and bank holidays. What This Means for You Real-Time Transfers: No cut-off times—payments are processed immediately. Transaction Limits: You can set your own SEPA Instant limits online or in-office, within the maximum limits set by the Credit Union. Three in a Row: Credit Unions Top Ireland Reputation Index 2025

Credit unions have been named Ireland’s most reputable organisation for the third consecutive year, topping the 2025 Ireland Reputation Index. Based on the views of over 5,000 people, the study ranks 100 of Ireland’s most prominent organisations on trust, respect, admiration, and esteem. With a score of 82.4, credit unions were one of just two organisations to achieve an ‘Excellent’ rating. They ranked first in three key reputation drivers—Citizenship, Conduct, and Workplace—and led when the public were asked who they would trust in a crisis, welcome into their community, and recommend to others. An Post and Boots Ireland followed in second and third place, scoring 80.8 and 79.5, respectively. David Malone, CEO of the Irish League of Credit Unions, said: “Being voted as Ireland’s most reputable organisation for the third consecutive year is a true honour and a testament to the enduring trust and respect that members place in credit unions.
